Signs Your Amarr Roller Replacement Is Failing
- Door jumps or shudders as it moves. A flat-spotted or seized roller stops rolling and starts dragging, and the door fights the track every few inches.
- Grinding or squealing from the track area. The bearing inside the roller is dry or the nylon wheel is chewed up. You’ll hear it before you see it.
- Visible wobble, chips, or flat spots on the wheel. Pull the release cord and run the door by hand halfway up. Look at each roller. If one is egg-shaped, it’s done.
- Door hangs crooked or binds on one side. A broken roller stem lets the panel tilt. That puts sideload on the cables and the spring, which is a much bigger repair.
- Gaps between rollers and track. Rollers wear down over time, and once they lose diameter, the door rattles against the track and tears up the vertical sections.
One failed roller is a warning, not a standalone problem. The door is 200 pounds riding on springs and rollers. Respect it.
